Meet Wes Holt

Wes Holt has spent his life in Northeast Arkansas and his career answering the call, first as a United States Marine, then as a law enforcement officer, instructor, and crisis response leader.

A Life of Service

Wes serves as a lieutenant with the Harrisburg Police Department, with prior law enforcement service in Mississippi County and the city of Osceola. Across his career he has worked patrol, investigations, supervision, and training, and has served on SWAT. He is a law enforcement instructor and a Crisis Intervention Team instructor, and he serves as a state supervisor for the 988 crisis line.

Service Beyond the Badge

Wes is the Executive Director of We Are The 22, a nonprofit serving veterans, service members, and their families, and serves on the board of the Arkansas Crisis Center. He is a mentor and staff member with Warfighter Advance and the District Commander of the 5th District of the Arkansas American Legion. He is also a small business owner.

Why I Am Running

I am running for sheriff because Poinsett County deserves a sheriff's office it can be proud of. One that answers the call no matter which corner of the county it comes from. One that treats every person with respect and every tax dollar with care.

This will not be a campaign of big promises and fine print. It will be a simple commitment: show up, work hard, and answer to the people of this county. My door will always be open, and I am asking for your vote.
