A sheriff's office has one job above all others: keep the people of this county safe. Everything below flows from that.

Answer Every Call

Poinsett County is a big place, and too often the towns and back roads farthest from the county seat wait the longest for help. Wes will organize patrols around where the calls actually come from, so that a family in Lepanto, Fisher, or Tyronza gets the same response a family in Harrisburg does.

That also means working as partners with our city police departments and first responders instead of working around them. When seconds count, turf wars cost lives. Under Wes, cooperation will be the rule.

Fight Drugs Head On

Meth and fentanyl are doing real damage to families in every part of northeast Arkansas, and Poinsett County is no exception. Wes will target the dealers and traffickers who profit from that damage and work hand in hand with prosecutors and regional task forces to put cases together that stick.

At the same time, a family fighting to get a loved one out of addiction deserves a sheriff's office that points them toward help, not just a jail cell. Wes will make sure deputies know the resources available in our area and use them.

Back Our Deputies

You cannot run a good sheriff's office without good people, and you cannot keep good people without backing them. Wes will fight for the training and equipment deputies need to do the job safely and professionally, and he will work to make the Poinsett County Sheriff's Office a place where good officers want to build a career.

Backing our deputies also means holding a high standard. Professionalism and accountability are not opposites of support. They are what make the badge worth wearing.
